- Foreign direct investment (FDI) is increasingly being recognized as an important factor in the economic development of countries. This study contains a survey of tax incentive regimes in over 45 countries from all regions of the world. The analysis sheds light on other issues such as design considerations, the importance of proper administration of incentives and measures to increase the efficacy of tax incentives offered.
