- The Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ukrainian Mathematical Society, the Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis & Stochastics, the Steklov Institute of Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Donetsk National University organized the International Conference "Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations".
The conference took place in Alushta, Ukraine, in the period September 15-21, 2003. This conference continued a series of traditional scientific meetings which the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics had carried out every other year since 1979. In the last decade these conferences had acquired an international status.
